Chuck E. Cheese adventure

Matt ended up with about a full duty day's worth of study time today--and he took full advantage of it.  :O)

The girls and I made our much-anticipated trip to OKC's Chuck E. Cheese (nearest arcade to Vance AFB is 70 miles [or 90 minutes, thanks to multiple 35-45mph stretches of highway]).  And the drive in and out of Enid really is painfully boring.  "Highlights" include: a 3D Sinclair dinosaur at a gas station, a couple statues of horses, a military salvage/surplus shop with what looked like a sawed-off cockpit in the parking lot, and about 5 different species of roadkill.  In all, it ended up being about a 7 hour adventure--3 hours of driving with 4 hours of Chuck E. fun.  I have not been as exhausted as I am tonight in quite some time, lol.  But the girls had a blast, and I have to admit, I had a lot of fun too.  Usually I don't play any of the games when we go, but since we were armed with an insane amount of tokens, I tried some out.  We also played some of the "casino-type" games for the first time, and the girls LOVED earning tickets.  In all, we hit about 5 "jackpots", for a grand total of 1,280 tickets--which were traded for a stuffed duck with yarn hair and a gumball machine.  :o)

My oldest, showing off our ticket pile:

I am awful with estimates--I guessed this as maybe 500 tix--tops, when really it was nearly 1,300!
